When throwing a flare, its mesh emits light and has effects enabled for the whole animation
In other words it's ignited from the moment crane pulls it out but in order to affect the zombies it has to be deployed, and the flare gets deployed when the throwing animation finishes

That's why it looks like you pounce people who have a flare out and that's what this glitch is based on
The flare object is attached to crane's hand in the throw anim and something here causes it not to disappear when the anim is over.

So this is the second instance of a hammerless goon

i took shots at him from the rooftops, he had a hammer then. i went to finish off his other goon friend and i looked back to him and he was in a biters idle animation until i got close

then he sorta just froze

i know the game respawns dead demolishers sometimes when you get far enough away and rekills them making them tiny, maybe this is another varient of that? we just get hammerless goons instead of small demolisher bodies

i was fighting rais' men earlier, tried hitting him like 3 times got one phantom hit and 2 blocks. i proceeded to kick him and hit him straight after, he blocked my hit. tried dropkicking but he just lunged at me while i was down. you gotta either jump around them like a fucking monkey, just spam attack until they stop blocking, power attack or grapple them to the floor and then just keep attacking them until theyre dead. human v player combat was my least favorite part about the game when i started playing.
