Gear system is maybe better in 2 but is broken balance wise with one gear set and, so on so on (probably why they limited gear sets in the Beast is to make the difficulty a bit more grounded which I don’t mind)

I got DL2 back in December and I got 130+ hrs on it so far, never got bored through those hours

Grapple Hook and Paraglider will still drain but the natural stamina from parkour will not. Essentially by climbing, letting go of the paraglider early will not drain anymore, and so on

It used to be that u spend stamina while sprinting or while climbing, like in Markers of Plague mission when Aiden couldn't reach Hakon in the hospital. Some activities were locked behind minimal stamina requirements that forced players to look for the inhibitors and invest more on stamina side

The Beast only fixed some issues that DL2 was lacking but no means a perfect game. Both could be better. But relatively speaking, DL1 aged like fine wine despite its parkour and combat limitations (and obvious other technical aspects that definitely needs maintenance) but how much attention to detail that game had was spectacular

I uphold that standard for the newer sequels in which I unfortunately feels more or less disappointing. “Newer” doesn’t mean better really.

You get a mask upgrade to the renegade boss mask I think with added stats the more you complete I think? Modifier XP increase obviously, and additional inhibitors to max out your character’s leftover HP/Stamina
