Attention to details from the infected, environmental reactions, hell even DLC story from the following, and more to an extent that all that combined can make a game feel lively. DL2 and The Beast lacks that

The game has had 4 years of support and both of those games took 2-3 years to even add nightmare and NG+ or option to go back to quest after prologue. I love 2 its combat is fun. I just wish it was more grounded and the interiors not barebones more detailed and looting actually handcrafted and done well like the beast. Most of the loot bulk is earned from rep vendors just to force people out of single player into co op or into the missions for them. To then exchange the tokens from each rep level achieved. At the pace the beast is going and added everything quicker in 4 months (NG+/The most LLs skills we’ve ever gotten and actual good weapons, nightmare, with hunger mechs battery mechs and alpha) it’s gonna end up being the better product in the end as they add more and more to it.

I hope the beast gets another variant of the pistol. I really like the sound and how heavy it feels as well. I think it shares a top spot with black hand pistol not only is it silent it looks and feels great too. It does increased headshot damage and low health has a chance to not consume ammo damage is the same as the gre pistol. For non bundle pistols it’s the best in the game. Hopefully we get a rifle and shotgun one day that is gre related and top in dmg for non bundle users.

GRE aberrations give 1 chest per completion + combat/legend xp and a scrap chest, the chest has a chance to contain exotic weapons and its infinitely repeatable

The first one matters for story on who you’ll end up siding with. Water tower. The rest up to you. Depending on what interests you most. So if you want the crossbow unlocked you can get it from the PKS after that there is always new game plus after the first run to actually assign what you want to whoever.

I never had issues with money start to finish on nightmare difficulty. The only time money was a concern was because at higher ranks, gear cost a ton that eventually at the point it becomes a little bit insufferable above rank 5*

Tbh it’s fun in combat but really lacks the QOL the beast saw and the looting aspect IMO. My two biggest critiques. Overall while I like the bigger map and more to do. A lot of it is really just copy pasted and the bounties more so the same. The biggest thing to me was the tower raid.

Explains why the roof tops vs the beast in old town stink. I felt they should’ve been more crowded by objects and such not trees/crops with differently shaped roofs that weren’t just flat on different levels and the interiors and cars having more to loot. I go into darkzones and even looting regular interiors and it’s just lacking.

no there are no radiant quests in dl2 but there are bounties both daily and weekly jais board resets weekly as does sola, hunter girl and harper

the quest boards have a fixed number of side quests that reward the legend chests if you want more NG+ and you can redo any of them

pilgrim chests seem to have lower drop rate for exotics you can far pilgrim chests from the GRE fights stacks up to 999 think i got 30 exotic out of 1000 chests so yeah not the best way to get exotics

a full stash of c4 charges 8 charges a kill worked out to about 1400 chests something i wont be doing again as the pilgrim chests dont give out muscle boosters

everyone has their fav weapon type but if you want the best its a pole arm bar the new elemental ones they have a thing where they phase through an enemy doing like 5 damage when the enemies are in your face its only with those 4 weapons so it must have been planned sionce they have the greatest reach

and thats another 4 hours of outbreak grinding but i still dont think enough people are interested to get the lore

I’ve finally got the report that the quota for Garrison has been achieved. Great work! However I’ve gotten reports that some unit’s and survivors are still in Garrison. If you’re in Garrison route yourself to Quarry End ASAP unless you’ve got access to East Borough in which case head there immediately.

I don’t like how cop cars don’t have ammo in them like the beast lol with the route they went in 2 against slightly walking back and bending it. It’s fine to retcon at least do the full work dialogue wise and reactions towards guns. I didn’t moan for guns to be added. I expected makeshift IMO. They were lucky they slipped in that the military hid them in storage in secret the secret was found. That’s why it feels stupid to me not because they know exist. Or how nobody was smart enough to bury or really really hide a gun or two and some boxes of ammo to make them feel rare. (Despite farming the spots over in over in gameplay) canon wise the ammo would be logically scarce.

I did all survivor territories. All good choices up to saving Frank and letting Hakon get Lawan. I sided with Matt for the drain and it gave me the solo Aiden leaving ending so as for taking over the flooded area it’s nobody. The fort of the colonel is sadly unoccupied and not even protected by the PKS nor survivors

Same with flooded. Whole area is a useless waste of dev time and I have no clue why they didn’t fill it with more or something or Elysium. Maybe if they didn’t have Aiden leave in all endings it could be like the beast where there’s post game and it would make sense to add stuff there but w/e

Both methods work, but making them hit something and be stunned is faster

U need to let them control just 4 of 7 districts, meaning assign any 4 facilities to them to unlock the 4th PK district perk. Most of the time it is done in 1st playtrough, so u can do a NG+ in full survivors control because of the "survivor respawn" district perk that saves your XP / LP (pretty helpful perk for legend levels grind)

Just do all the bounties each week, and if you play DL1 still you can do those as well and get them twice as fast

You get 25 per level up

They reset on Monday’s so every Monday I’ll hop on and finish them in about an hour sometimes less depending on what the bounties are, they’re always easy some just take longer than others

I dont know what nightmare you've been playing but its pretty easy still, the only thing that makes nightmare a nightmare is the reduced immunity and the stamina drain at night using the paraglider, especially with boosters you can survive for quite a lengthy time if you dont fall

Hunter's Crossbow has the longest full-damage bolt range of all crossbows (damage drops with distance on all crossbows, as opposed to DL1). But it can't use normal or elemental bolts, only the hollow ones from Shen Xiu. Basically, it is the best weapon for sniping infected
Shadow executioner is the best all-around crossbow coz of mag size and fairly good fire rate (it is semiautomatic tho), but it suffer of distance dmg drop on bolts, so it is not as good as Hunter's for sniping, but it is good enough.
There is a parkour shots category, and in that Hakon Crossbow is the king coz of Full auto 4 bolts mag. Still, Shadow Executioner is good enough for that as well

I've gotten a bunch of them, both legendary and exotic from backpack zombie farmings. It'll always take a while to farm regardless because you're looking for 1 specific weapon type, of 1 specific rarity, and probably want decent affixes to top it all off

but backpack biters will always be better than night encounters for it. Backpack biters die quickly, are looted quickly, and can be found very often at night when you know where to look. You can easily get 30+ nocturnals a night with a good route. Night encounters are much tankier, have a real risk of failing if you get into a chase, and have loot pools that are shared with other, non-nocturnal weapons to further dilute it

here's 4 nocturnals in 1 minute, even got 2 exotics out of it. By the time you get to the end of the freeway at the end of the clip, the biters in the spot at the start of the clip will have respawned
