Actually, the PK crossbow is the worst in the game but it is necessary to have coz of the elemental bolts blueprints that come with it, well, all except fire bolts that come with Hakon's Crossbow (full automatic and 4 bolt mag).
Hakon's and First Pilgrim crosbows are full automatic. Every other is semi-automatic. First Pilgrim has 3 bolts mag tho but gives Impact element to normal bolts on close enemy shots

DL1 isn't a game I return to often, except for weekly outpost bounties.
DLTB is a literally empty game that forces players to do 11 fcn NG+ just to scale enemy level to the max. So after 11 repeats of a short DLC-sized game, everything becomes meh ( yeah, I'm DLTB burnout).
DL2 is the game I return to coz comparing it to DLTB and DL1 is pure fun. Yeah, DL1 was groundbreaking in the games world, but now it is fcn poor and boring in mechanics (3 attacks, 2 parkour moves and a teleport grappling hook) compared to DL2. @orchid karma The weather system and atmosphere don't make up for it. And there is also a totally messed-up skill tree system. You can be at 2% story but in some 30-40 hours of play, be fully maxed in all skill trees and legend levels in a legit way. The point is whether u like it or not, DL1 is still a mess, way bigger than DL2 is now. DL1 had 10 years of support and is still a mess

For sure and I don’t disagree on you there. The weather and other features still missing in both sequels are was something else entirely that gave the game much more life and detail. Not to mention raining also affects modified weapons in the first game. (Now on the Beast with extinguishable flames) DL1 wasn’t exactly a mess in my eyes. It had a lot of things you never knew you could do and features that were a surprise. Unless you account for certain things like BTZ, parkour, combat gameplay, and somewhere in between. DL2 is a mess and to this day in my eyes despite the more filler content and basic necessities. It needs help.

DL1 is a game where I would kinda take it to account to the level quality you expect from Techland years back for what it was and expanded upon to the sequels. DL2 and The Beast kinda lacks that. I wish they’d improve naturally but eh.

Maybe I am biased and admire the first game more. I dunno~
