What's the point of throwing daggers in DL2? In the Beast I can kill Zombies with 2 shots (sometimes 1), here I deal almost no damage.

they make takedowns quicker and quieter, can 1 shot people if they're upgraded, and let you do ranged attacks without equipping a ranged weapon

they also cancel power attacks

which you can't block

and if you arent in the position to dodge can get you out of that

Well, the max enemy level is 9, and every single one will be scaled to that level in NG+. In the 1st playtrough, most enemies can reach max lvl 6 except for the scripted enemies in main story missions (their level is equal to Aiden's level)
Now, a capped enemy level at level 9 doesn't mean that they don't scale further, but that depends on the difficulty mode. For example, in "Nightmare mode", enemies are tankier and deal way more damage than the same level enemies in lower difficulty modes. Also, in nightmare mode, AIs that control the enemy variants make them somewhat smarter (human enemies will dodge way more often with following counterattacks, faster infected tend to flank Aiden, etc...)

there is a limit of mob/enemy power ups in that game. More limited comparing with DLTB. after the firs NG+ the other ng+ are not affects their power directly like in DLTB's cap. long story short the cap is NG+1 at that game and NG+ 10/11 at the beast for maximum hardness. The other scaling elements like @limpid timber's described.

Actually, parkour stamina was manifested in DL1 in sprinting (b4 max agility), but not in climbing, which doesn't make any sense (having Crane hang from the ledges for eternity )
Ppl tend to forget about winded Crane, coz in DL1 u can literally reach max levels (Survivor, Power, Agility and Legend) in some 30-40 hours. Hell, I even managed to do it b4 starting the "Airdrop" mission, it took me something over 30 hours, Stuffer Turtle speed runs (3 packs instead of 5). Looted 5500 packs and turned them in in Nightmare mode with the Snow-Ops outfit on (+20% XP)

Yeah I think gritty drowns out dark being dark and makes it a bit brighter for some reason when gritty is darker. I don’t remember being this dark before the beast came out 😅 it has to be recent? I hardly use any of the boosters. I used the XP boosters when I was leveling up and sometimes I’ll use a health regen and toughness boosters but hardly ever they keep stacking up in my stash lol. I use them in tower raid that’s about it

DL2 has come a long way. It’s really fun and enjoyable to play right now. I started a new co-op playthrough this weekend and we’re having a great time with it. When I read the comments on YouTube, I honestly feel like I’m just reading 14-year-old teenagers blindly following the crowd, loudly claiming that the first game is the best, blah blah blah. At some point, people need to open their eyes. Yes, the game was bad at release. No, in 2026 that’s no longer the case.

This fanatical obsession with the first game is really tiring. People won’t even give the second one a second chance.

As for The Beast, the devs said over and over that they wanted to make a short but intense experience and they succeeded. Now it’s time to focus on the third game. The developers have seen what players want. Even if things are a bit chaotic within their teams right now, they need time to recover. A project like that doesn’t come together overnight

I love both 1 and 2 for different reasons. I love the beast as well. They all bring good things to the table and their own vibes

Now im playing 2 in 2026 without having its past development affecting my judgment I think its great so far

Aiden is very likable, he's a lot different than Kyle, I love the vibes going on in the world building and it still ties to 1 nicely enough.

My only criticisms so far are removing scenes and dialogue for no reason and trying to get the key bindings to stick was nightmare mode in itself
