I'm with her on this. DLTB, although great at the technical side, simply isn't as fun as DL2. In DLTB, there isn't much to do once u max out. Besides pretty small map, after 11th NG+, everything becomes predictable. For those who didn't play DLTB, 11 NG+ is needed so all enemies reach lvl cap 300

The problem is they turned DL2 into a Ubisoft game with the map and it’s just unnecessary to collect that much and the map size hurt the quality of the districts being unique so it’s just a lot of the same layouts over and over while looting. Well IMO I think 2 faced the same issue. They had to balance old gen and current gen. So that anything current got old gen had to make sure it ran too and part of me feels like we won’t get new stuff as peak quality because it’s gotta be able to run for old gens sake besides taking the the next gen leap like cyberpunk did and left old gen behind with no DLC/updates. wish Techland took that route.

Launch menu was different before the banners and whatnot. Half-way through the game’s cycle they made the menu face forward to view your character model on purpose to feel validated on what you purchased. It’s what I think up this point. Mainly for DL2’s case.

I don’t know if it’s me but I never liked the repair system in DL2. Unlimited repairs is quite dumb. I wish for the token system back but that may not happen lol Reason being is that you have 20 slots of inventory space for weapons, weapons last kinda naturally long, and the value for the durability grip mod is so bad it’s not worth ever using it

I think backporting with the beast mode finishers would be nice. I know canon wise in the story he loses control but for the sake of gameplay fun we have the beast mode for fun kinda like weapons that saw a slight retcon (but they don’t gotta worry since it’s just for fun and we know the canon). It’s balanced in the beast. Unlike 2 they didn’t do a mode because it was for the narrative I believe they also said because it was broken. (They ignore Aiden infected, he’s immortal and one punches everything)

because this game initially didn't have guns, a side of accessory pistol-shotguns with a limited shot count. After the public demand, guns were introduced via the Lost Armoury side mission
I rarely use guns in this game, coz Bows and Crossbows are way better anyway (the same was in DL1, but ppl don't want to admit it coz of all running and gunning no brainier game play)

On stats cards for bows only, base dmg is shown; it doesn't take into account that damage rises with arrow flight distance + there is a focus shot bonus damage, which is huge and makes them a great sniping weapon
For crossbows, it is the opposite. Bolts' damage drops with distance.
There are 2 exceptions tho
Balista Bow that shoots special harpoons and deals huge damage, but harpoon flight is slow and arched, so use parkour shots with it to get better hit chance
Hunters Crosbow uses hollowed bolts that have higher flight speed and range compared to normal bolts
Balsita Harpoons and hollowed Bolts can't be crafted; they have to be purchased from Shen Xiu or earned as a reward from Shen Xiu's normal mission

Don't waste tokens on those. They can be easily farmed from backpack biters. It used to be a rare drop from Volatiles, Tyrants and legendary night encounters, but a couple of patches ago, backpack biters started dropping those
