Not sure, i remember those challenges but it’s been so long since ive done them, im only recently getting back into the game. Hopefully someone is able to help you out though. You’re new to the game so maybe your gear is not strong enough.

But personally I did the challenges and what not later in the game it’s definitely not something you do right when you start playing

you might not have liked it on launch, as you've probably heard before. but at launch, for me anyways, i enjoyed my time with it. I definitely wish they didnt make certain changes (like howler being a day time enemy and virals spawning after every hit, and the density of zombies being way to high which leads to encounters or npc encounters being ruined) but for the most part ive enjoyed dl2 throughout its time

I picked this up last year during a Christmas sale and also had a blast with this game. Just took me getting used to the grappling hook changes mostly and some things with combat I had to learn too.

I got used to it, it definitely was a shock to the system early on, and rather frustrating, but once you're max level it is sound. I think they should add a toggle for it in settings, for both DL2, The Beast and future games, let people play how they want to play it

I agree I’d like a toggle for it, it added depth to the parkour, made you think before trying to climb and it made climbing something feel satisfying rather than knowing you can climb anything.

I’m surprised The Beast doesn’t have it, especially since it goes for a more grounded approach compared to DL2

Finally got the santa helper BP and it makes the bow go up to Legendary 400 damage but the exotic is 320

its like the case of one of the Halloween bps or whatever that ended up being upgraded to exotic with a update fix since it was unintended to just be only up to legendary but somehow can't make the bow higher in exotic lol

So yeah disappointed that my legendary bow while bows already suck as is, is lower then a legendary because yeahhhhhhhh

unless I have to get another exotic since I upgraded the bow to see it be 400...which wouldnt make sense because it should be higher anyway

Bows are like DL1 bows and just straight sponges on nightmare...the beast makes bows take at least 1-2 shots on nightmare to the head on anything not special and its great. Just wish they'd see a bigger increase in % for LL or damage

Yeah I agree, makes the bows damn near useless in DL2 that’s why I always use the crossbow instead. I actually like using the bow so I’m glad The bows in The beast at least pack a punch

The only bow worth using is the van aiden to deal with the spongeyness. Besides that, Xia's isn't worth using due to having to farm the stuff to buy them and well the other bows are just gimmicks or reskins that have the same or less damage sadly. So the beast at least lets you choose between a good crossbow or bow thankfully lol

Oh yeah, you will. There is a ton of blueprints that you collect or find that you upgrade right and then also they are non-restricted to the level that you collect them so they will continue to scale as your skills increase.

I used to 1 shot volatiles before going NG+ with 10 points on Legend Levels in Knuckledusters. I went NG+ and put 25 point to it making my weapon do 2,209 damage and I need to hit like 5 times to kill a volatile.

Hello guys, I have a question.

In Dying Light 2 (PC), as you all know, there are four sections in the bottom-left corner of the screen: health, throwables, weapons, and lastly things like the UV flashlight or grappling hook if you have them.

My question is this: when I scroll the mouse wheel, it only keeps switching between throwable items. But sometimes I want to switch my weapons instead. Is there a shortcut or a specific key to do that?

You probably need to just check the settings, I don’t believe there’s a way to remap buttons specifically but you can change from a couple different layouts. There’s potentially a mod to allow you to remap buttons but if you plan on playing co op the other person will also have to have that mod installed. I play on console though so maybe someone who’s on PC can get you a better or more exact answer I’m just guessing from what I know

You can read the description of the item and it’ll tell you what it can be used for, most valuables if not all are to be sold. There’s a couple you’ll get through out the story that you will only get once so you may want to keep them if you care about collecting. They’re unique items but still sellables

I don’t use mods on my weapon because I don’t like the way they make my weapon look I prefer them how they are. But the mods I do use occasionally are bleed and fling. Bleed not only looks cool on the weapon but the bleeding effect is also cool and not super flashy. Fling is just fun to use in general especially in blunt weapons because it will send enemies flying.

I’ve been thinking about it and I came to the conclusion that DL1 is pretty bleak and gritty. It’s a unique experience but playing the same game for too long will make you feel sad and depressed. DL2 constantly feels like you have power to change things and have an actual impact

You can level up tower raid pretty quickly, that’s nice. I’ve done quick play 3 times so far and I’m already level 11 for sola so I’m close to the silenced pistol. I’ll probably do the rest tomorrow, can’t keep grinding that over and over. Does TR scale the same way the game normally does? I had some people join and it felt like it made it easier.

The one change I was here for and remember is climbing stamina. I know people complained about it but I really don’t like how they removed it. The game was built around it so it feels weird without it being in the game and it was the next step for the parkour in general. It made you have to think about the climb before committing and it made climbing something feel satisfying, high risk high reward.

another example that i absolutely hate in the game currently is the bounce off animation when you hit a zombie with certain weapon types. it ruins all sort of weapon flow and it just looks really sloppy. this happens the most on one handed axes and some weapon types not at all. mostly 1H axes, and some 1.5H blunt weapon types, hitting a zombie or whatever and having it do a sloppy bounce off animation instead of just swinging fully is terrible. and from my testing unlike the other games it isnt based off of where you hit a zombie it seems to be random and happens most of the time.

in the rest of the game’s update support cycle im really hoping they improve this because its probably my biggest dislike about dl2’s combat gameplay currently.

"Boon" refers to the movement speed buff you get from killing naughty biters. The buff only lasts a set amount of time and you have to kill ten before the buff ends. Even though the buff time resets every biter you kill, this challenge is kind of a pain in the ass so I avoid trying to do it unless I absolutely have to.
