to start the Carriers side quest, talk to the first carrier you meet at the old Villedor pk metro station, if you missed him, you should be able to talk to another carrier in the pk ship, talking to her will actually start the quest I believe. but if you missed both of them, talk to the bartender at the fisheye, he will give you a side quest, but after his side quest, you can ask for more work, and he'll give you the carriers side quest. if you missed that quest, you gotta start a new game+

Did some testing and if you buy the items from jai under the "items unlocks" ( the throwing knives and Regen booster and what not) then it improves any that you pick up.
Once I bought the throwing knives, any I picked up did more DMG and any Regen boosters I picked up were more potent and lasted longer.
After I bought the things from jai, any knives and boosters were just one tier short of being maxed out.
Didn't do any testing with weapons cuz the weapons I use are guns or the default melee weapons.

Meanwhile upgrading blueprints will also improve the correlating items if you spawn in with those items in ur inventory.
Like if you max out the bp for medicine then any medicine that you spawn with will be maxed out.

Imo it's worth maxing out the Regen boosters but leaving the throwing knives and molotovs alone since any picked up throwing knives barely do any DMG even when upgraded and the molotovs DMG teammates but don't do self dmg and I really only use them to them to keep biters and virals off of me while I'm blocking off a doorway, lock picking, reviving, or beating on a mini boss.

Also the throwing knives did not get added to the elevator vendor after I bought the thing from jai.
And maxed out Regen boosters were already available for purchase from them before I bought the thing from jai.
The description that appears over them is just wrong and should be changed.

For telling me, so far the videos I've seen of it and made it seem pretty bad. There's all those choices, you only ever do one, cause like, it makes it way tougher if you do the others. The inventory and skill system seems to be pretty annoying. You gotta go out and find things to like, level up, and the things are annoying to find. Like... And I've heard how much less scary it feels and how the volatiles are way less deadly. And, how apparently, the volatiles health scales weirdly. From what I can hear, it's not too much harder to kill a volatile with a pistol, than it is with a best weapon in the game.

I never understood how game companies mess up this bad. One thing they could have done is make Crane not an absolute idiot. You don't have to have a whole loop of mistakes he makes, he doesn't. He doesn't take any extra antigen, he takes one vial and forgets about the rest. He doesn't kill Ryan in the scene where he chops off his hand. He doesn't give the GRE the research, which might not have been the best, we don't know, maybe. He doesn't nuke the city, he makes the worst decision at every possible point.

I'm pretty sure everyone can agree to this. Just let the people who actually play the game think of ideas for it.

How did they mess up Dying Light 2 so bad? They already had an extremely successful and popular game. All the basic ideas were there. All they had to do was come up with a new location, or a new story. And, it would've been cooler if they didn't skip to the end of the world, like... It would've been cooler if we got to be in a new, newer affected city. Dying Light 2 could've been a way more challenging, where... Where you're in a new city. There's still supplies everywhere, so it's easy to find stuff. But, since everyone's been recently infected... The biters are the ones that are rarer. Humans in Dying Light 1 are just... honestly overpowered. They block a lot and aren't really balanced with the environment or crates. And that's basically it."
