Any tips for nightmare mode?

Did my first playthrough on normal skill level. When I first started ng+ I put it on hard, but then when you keep all your equipment from the previous game, it seems like that would make it so 'hard' wouldn't be much harder than normal skill level. I first hesitated about nightmare because it said opening the menu wouldn't pause the game, but I figured it meant the crafting/map menu (not the one with options) cause you have to be able to pause the game.

Volatiles are a lot harder to kill on nightmare. Obvs, I should've expected that, but it makes it really hard to do things at night. On normal skill level, I dealt with this by upgrading my throwing knives until it only took 2 throws to kill a volatile, but I can't upgrade them further now.

I honestly wish they kept the zombie count during the day from launch. the whole premise of the infected was that they mostly came out during the night. now we have an ungodly amount of infected during the day, and its so lame and annoying. you cant even do most encounters without getting swarmed by infected, its annoying.

I was checking dl2 wiki on valuable items and found perfume, that can be obtained on an early quest, that sells 250, the actual problem is that we got the plans for it (memento) but we can’t craft it, I’m a bit disappointed on that 1 tho (okay maybe more cost on scrap metal and lavender 2 craft)

its not even that the biggest issue with the whole game is not just the ending but it falls apart after the "renegades" attack the small little island when jack matt makes rowe retreat from the area, They were constantly saying "renegades wouldnt risk this"
What should of happen at that point is the meeting with the 3 big shots - butcher/frank/Jack and with jacks betrayal on frank which in turn would allow the ending to flow when you have to get to the bunker to find your info on mia and yourself.
The last act of the game just falls apart and screams it was rushed but wasnt properly directed

i agree with some of the stuff that he says, games evolve, they change their minds and do something different which is not always the best decisions but that sometimes happen. But i can also see the point that a lot has been removed from the game too which again looks to me like they moved on and started working on a new game and did not bother to bring back the stuff that was initially shown
