But I’m very much having fun grinding my way. 10h in and I’ve only now just gotten to let’s waltz to unlock the other part of the game. But anyhow, if u complete all side stuff before the main quests, u should reach Legend 1 by the time u reach the DLC X) Here's an XP exploit: if after reaching Legend levels, if u switch the difficulty to Nightmare before completing a mission/activity it gives u huge xp (3000 LP+) as if u played on it the whole way (u can still switch back to the others difs so u aren't locked in Nightmare). i'll do u one better: do Jai missions (after the guns quest, the guy becomes an agent for daily/weekly missions) to level him up to get NIGHT XP BOOSTER. Pop those one out, scour completed Hospitals for Volatile Hives or BOLTERS and after landing the killing blow IMMEDIATELY PAUSE the game and switch to Nightmare (preferably tossing before the kill an UV bar at ur feat cause Nightm halves ur immunity) and it gives CRAZY XP (10k+ on the spot PLUS the one if u survive the night). Or just get the glitched machete from the DLC and just farm GRE Anomalies by one shotting them and then switching to Nightm before the completion reward pops up X)

well, depending WHEN u last played, there are LOTS of new improvements/updates to when the game first launched (guns, executions, Volatiles roam at night, etc.) It is the whole package deal atm (well, at least till the last few updates AFTER The Beast drops come out anyway 😅 😆 )

Yeah im having a blast, the executions i was jaw dropping at some of them, just at the point where ive upgraded a machete blueprint to max so its 1 tapping them so i aint seeing them again until ng+/higher difficulties🫡 and the volatiles roaming at night was a better change for me i didnt like the screamers much. and the guns i went full committed to DL2 and bought most of the in game bundles to see how they were and again having a blast with those too

@tame maple just some things to note (and for all the new players): watch out for Renegades/humans w GREEN skeleton aura (u can see it when u use SURVIVOR SENSE), when killed they release a toxic gas that KILLS U IN SECONDS if u stay in it. Also, say it w me: UV Bar, Toughness&Regen Boosters are GOD (UV bar lets u restore immunity, create a safe 'fuck off' space and instantly escapes Biters and Volatiles' 'death grab')

whatever u haven't upgraded or don't use u can sell but Toughness Boosters (once upgraded) are the ONLY way u can survive fights w tougher infected (or level 3-4 chase level) as it reduces damage (beside Uber skillful play/dodging). Couple it w Regen booster (just regens HP after use for a while) u're a mini healing tank for the duration it works. U can skip the long 'puffing animation' by either kicking at the right time (requires to know the timing a lil bit) or throw an UV bar at ur feet to give u safe have (won't work so good on humans tho as they're NOT affected by UV)

Great job! i've been playing with it for about 10 minutes now, you've nearly 1:1 recaptured the feeling of dl1 combat, how they sway left to right with each hit on the head etc

only thing i would change is sometimes they fall completely over on the first hit (im using a 1 handed blunt right now) mabye making it take more hits for them to be knocked over completely like in dl1? or is that outside of your control

it's probably because of the amount of restrictions i've removed between updates, a lot of reactions will get flagged as an interrupt or a ragdoll, interrupts can also cause ragdoll

@tame maple alternatively, when reaching Legend lvl 1 (gotta max out combat&parkour to get to it), CRAFTMASTERS will also have an option for u to donate any infected trophies, military tech (don't recommend on fresh save) and LP points (gotten after reaching Legend 1 as quest reward for some Fish Eye boubty board quests). Also, craftmasters can now REPAIR ur weapons (i recommend ONLY repairing when the durability is at/below 50% as blades aren't as common as scrap or other materials (also BUY all the resources vendors/craftm have if u got the money)

so u COULD just night farm infected, although that's not as faster&bountiful as the Night XP booster+Nightm mode switch method 😅
