Really good point about it 'not being for everyone' - I guess one of the things you do when you make a game is to make it for somebody, and to teach/tell a story. It seems like topics that branch from DEI are popular topics!

I can get the annoyance if DEI feels like the main talking point and got in the way of the quality of prior existing story points. This perspective could be applied for any sort of talking point though.

I think that some people really don't like DEI because of the lack of understanding around the.... topics.
