Any recommendations on how to best experience it since I see some free DLC on the Steam page? The knowledge I have of the game is Slimecicles playthrough like 4 years ago (which caused me to buy DL and fall in love with this game). I am mostly a casual gamer (I haven't completed Dl hard mode yet) so I really hope someone could tell the best way to experience it since I already know most of the story due to the playthrough I watched, but I haven't watched it in a while and I have no idea about the Bloody Ties DLC. Well there's only one big DLC so far and it's included in every version of Dying Light 2 now, everything else is just gear and weapons

If you're deadset on buying any of those, then I'd say probably whichever outfits or types of weapons you are leaning towards using most based on personal preference. I can't say for sure what kinds of passive effects you get from all the armor/outfits though as I only grabbed a couple when they were given away for free in the in game store.

Probably just better off finding gear in game then like the other guy mentioned a bit above this message. The DLC gear scales to your current level when redeeming in game though so even if you were to buy any of the stuff it wouldn't be of much use at all later on if you redeem it as soon as you're able to because you can only redeem once per save file
