Term " Moded weapons" is used for hacked weapons trough save edit or some other tool and it doesn't have anything to do with Weapon addons (in game weapon mods) that are totally legit

BTW since last Winter event I switched from Spark+Fling to Frost+Avalanche mod combo

It is more fun since crowd control I can do with Electric Blast or Inferno instead of relying on Spark crit mod

Opening the legeneds chests/silver and gold one/will give you Bard's call 512dm/this is max damage plus bonuses from legends levels and gear bonuses/ and you can get the yumi bow from the in game store bundles same damage as Bard's call.There is one more bow from the legends chest if I remember correctly it is a winter bow or dead of the winter or similar to that name same damage as these bows.I have seen players getting this bows in exotic variant/the 2 from the legends chests/ don't know if that was on their new save game.

But if you like faster attacks you can use 1 handed. There's also stuff like the knuckledusters but you gotta use those to see if you like them

I'd say it depends on the situation as well, some strong enemies require agile attacks where 1h weapon is superior, and at the same time while being surrounded 2h weapon show its range and power advantage

Volatiles and tyrants are agile enough to dodge some 2h attacks and attack faster than you, so machetes make a couple of accurate stabs. At the same time its easier to get a pile of biters at military convoy with 1 slice of 2h weapon 🙃
