Can be an issue on your end. I play on Xbox myself but a major difference isn't there really and the issues you are describing don't sound familiar. Have you tried clearing the game's cache in settings? If you have sound issues on more games I'd recommend cleaning your console regularly, many people don't and that's how such issues come

So turn off your ps5 and enter safe mode, you can select an option to rebuild the database. This should solve most issues. Also keep your console in a more cool environment to ensure it doesn't overheat.

BTW when upgrading nightrunner tools do the UV Flashlight upgrades the last coz of the Military Tech requirements.
if u upgrade UV Flashlight b4 the Grappling hook or Paraglider then u gonna need 15 Military Tech in total, but if u upgrade it last then 14 Military tech will be enough.
Bare in mind that there are 14 lootable Military tech per playtrough
