Humans would usually probably be more formidable than zombies overall because of teamwork and stuff that could make for a more interesting story because there could be all kinds of different ways humans fight each other unless u want to make zombies with absurd mutations

And that there would be enough content or for the mutations to be interesting enough to make a full on story with just that
