You can get XP from anywhere whether it's parkour or combat

Killing volatiles is never easy, just make sure you have some op weapons with some good mods on them.... On hard mode, with my 653 power katana with fire mods that are fully upgraded I can four or five tap volatiles

yeah, it makes it a bit difficult in Nightmare mode but multipliers for all other modes are increased as well. For example: during and after 5th NG+ difficulty/ Legend points bonuses look like this
Easy mode multiplier is 1.75

I stumbled upon the same post back when I started playing DL2. The thing is that the Infected Blades blueprint is still obtainable.
To get the blueprint U need to have some of those, max ranked in your inventory (u can buy throwing knives bundle from Shen Xiu or get them as a reward from board mission).
With those in your inventory visit any survivors craftmaster or craftmaster in carnage hall. Under UPGRADE tab (not Buy tab) U'll find the Infected Blades blueprint although it can't be upgraded

If u choose Tactical stamina once zeroed your Aiden slows down. can't swing melee weapons, can't dodge, or do parkour attacks until your stamina is recharged in full
Regular stamina allows U to start spending it as soon as it starts recharging after being zeroed.
For the early game (low stamina) it doesn't make much impact but once u max stamina to 700, it makes a lot of difference. BTW in Nightmare mode, tactical stamina is the only option

saves get overwritten

check maybe backups? could be your best bet

So glad I ended up playing on hard, I tried nightmare and like it's definitely doable but I'd rather understand the game better before that shit

The hud is honestly what hurts the most because I'm not as familiar with this game as I am DL1

Although, what's the general advice for fighting goons because they're much more difficult than they were in DL1

Just dodge a bunch

Their attack patterns are pretty recognizable once you get used to them

The only reasons gooners were hard in dl 1 was because their hitboxes were absolute shit

Just very basic to fight too with the skyrim esc combat formula, hit, move back, go back in and hit, etc.

when it does the upper swipe attack just crouch down

when it stomps, jump right before the stomp
