If you're already familiar with how the game works e.g. played the first one, I'd say hard mode. Normal gets a bit easier after a while even if you do only main quests. Thats how I see it, maybe someone has a different opinion on that. But ultimately i'd say go whatever you prefer like Brata said there. Some people do not like to be on edge all times and I get that.

There's nothing else to say. 2022 event sucked and devs perfected it last year. Completely scrapped it this year and made it exclusively for the new mode. Techland effectively alienated half their playerbase
