for those who struggle with parkour XP, try doing parkour challenges in nightmare mode. XP goes up to 15K for gold / 30K for platinum on some challenges. Nightmare mode doesn't change challenge difficulty but rises XP reward

Cause I am literally five seconds away from losing it I’m level 22 and level 24 in combat and parkour now I need to be level nine and have both of them maxed out to be able to use legend levels but here’s the problem combat I can do. It’s pretty easy but parkour it’s so annoying. I do the jump back-and-forth thing but every one or two attempts the grappling hook will come out of nowhere even though I didn’t click L2. Could someone please help me before I have a mental breakdown.

is it the pro grappling hook control setting that you're pressing maybe? idk if that's a thing on controller but on PC there's a couple buttons you can use for grappling hook

i maxed out parkour by running a circle at max chase level at night, the route had lots of vaults for me to use

also doing all the parkour challenges helps, i think those give a fair bit of XP?

13xp doesn't sound right for max level chase at night

i did mine so that the route passed through one of those little landmark safe zones; got aggro off of me each loop

*but not staying in it long enough to lose chase level either, but it can be finicky

i think especially the move where you launch yourself after vaulting something gives really good XP

but in general, the grind isn't really pleasant especially if it's so many levels, it's more fun to level it naturally as you play and explore

if you are on NG+ then visit again locations where u found NG+ inhibitors in Old villedor. If you are at 1st play-trough then do some Jai's survivor missions. Toxic work enviroment, Higway Star, Fast Food. there are goons gauanteed in those missions. Also u can do some Harper's regular mission. U'll find a goon per mission run. Other than that u can check space behind GRE quarantine in Horseshoe - Old Villedor, and courtyards in Houndfield -Old Villedor

How do you farm night encounters now?

I tried getting back into night encounter farming for legend XP and goddamn...no, its not hard but rather..annoying to get to the encounter due to the density of volatiles. Its not hard to fight them or escape them, especially in Central Loop its just annoying to see 3 volatiles near one night encounter and sometimes 1 with the encounter aswell

Now this wouldnt be a problem if you manage to kill them without them yelling, they wouldnt start a chase but so far I couldnt do that once.

So I am genuienly asking, what is the way to do night encounters now? Any tips (other than being stealthy and hiding in bushes.

In dl1 u can see him by sense and chase level showing to you

Are you not supposed to do nighttime encounters?

I'm currently sitting in a bush at an encounter I'd like to do but there are two volatiles on the roofs around the square that big bad zombie is in and another two on the ground near him.

I've had a similar issue with GRE aberrations. I did one and was having a grand old time and then right as I killed it a volatile showed up and smacked me. I had to keep going back after each death to get a bit of the loot out of the chest cause the same volatile kept prowling around and smacking me while I tried to loot the stupid chest in the trailer.

I don't mind there being lots of chases as much but I do mind not being able to do nighttime quests and activities because there's like five volatiles in the area. I can usually get away, but by the time I do I'm far away from my objective and then a chase starts on the way back to it and the problem repeats itself. It's tiresome.

I think devs should deal dead zone to night encounters and Gre Anomaly.

I also believe there is a certain outfit you get from a side quest that increases the timer but I’m not full certain on that anymore as I haven’t gotten it myself.

I don't know how many times I've researched dying light the beast trailer in .25x speed but I'm pretty sure it's unhealthy. Every time I watch it there is one frame that just looks like the "beast" is wearing Aiden's clothes. It could just be the lighting but every time I watch it I see it.

I am lev9 and have 48 armor with brawler gear, have seen them with 64-65 armor with tank gear and boss mask.

max Armour value u can get is 65 for tank gear and renegade boss mask. I guess (don't know for sure) it is equivalent to physical damage resistance %. 100% being total immunity to physical damage and it can't be achieved but u can come close to it trough gear item affixes that stack up- resistance bonuses like Day/Night damage resistance, Human/Infected damage resistance etc... Also there is TANK legend skill for legend levels 250+ and when maxed it gives additional 5% damage resistance, although it doesn't say which dmg resistance coz there is elemental dmg as well.

Military convoy goons and some biters around are glitched so u can't do them any harm but also then can't hurt u.
U need to try various angles in order to activate Police car trunk lock and it isn't worth the hassle coz loot u find there is crappy (as opposite of DL1 Police vans and cars)

If you are at 1st play-trough then do some Jai's survivor missions. Toxic work environment, Highway Star, Fast Food. there are goons guaranteed in those missions. Also u can do some Harper's regular mission. U'll find a goon per mission run. GRE Aberation in Trinity has 2-3 toxic elemental goons. Other than that u can check space behind GRE quarantine in Horseshoe - Old Villedor, and courtyards in Houndfield -Old Villedor.
If you are on NG+ then visit again locations where u found NG+ inhibitors in Old villedor. 3 of 9 NG+ inhibitors in Old Villedor are guarded by Goon Demolisher pair

If you get anything Modded, it's best not to mention it if you aren't too bothered, but, if you're worried whatsoever about it, click Drop Out, change your Online settings to Friends Only or Private then Quit Game.

iirc, anything dropped that isn't picked up despawns.

Whilst the game-breaking stuff can be... "fun" to use, it can also ruin your playthrough if you start the game with a weapon that does enough damage to rival The Tsar Bomba.

Dying Light 2 technically does have infinite durability for two things:

1. There's a weapon that doesn't break but does piss damage.
2. Repair it whilst its low. You can INFINITELY repair weapons in this game which is basically like having an infinite durability weapon if you have enough materials to get it fixed.

Nonono, Dying Light 2 changed how Melee Weapons work.

As long as they don't fully break, you can repair them indefinitely.

Craftmaster will ask you fork over the materials to repair AND a chunk of Old World Money, but, he or she will see no issue with repairing that Chainsaw-Flamethrower-Grenade Launcher-Baseball Bat you have.

If you play long enough and loot EVERYTHING, you'll be fine

Some of them can be hard to find, but, I believe there's a guide online to find the materials, or if you're lucky, find someone who is nice enough to part with the materials.

When in doubt, check the Wiki (fandom) out. They usually say where the Primary Source is.
