My friend and I are playing on my host and we made it to the Central Loop in the game. I am able to go to the craft master and upgrade my paraglider but my friend doesn't have that optoin. I did some research and saw how only the host gets those kinds of blueprints since the games saves are mainly tied to the host (which is stupid IMO).

Don't kill anything before the level 4 chase starts, you need a swarm of biters on you

If you kill the chasing virals before level 4 the chase will end and you won't have enough bodies to kill

I’m not 100% sure but it could be achievement. I haven’t looked through all the achievements for the game. But if you chill at them you learn about nPC’s lives before the virus. Some are just annoying but okay to listen 2.

What's a good way of getting military kits, good weapons and gear

The more you lvl up the better weapons you'll get

But if you're on the other side of the map then the best way to get better weapons is by doing bounties from some survivors

Imo

Weapons scale with the zones until you get to NG+
Once you NG+ you do bounties for the agents for their shops
You can get good weapons from Legend Level cases
You can also get good weapons from Aberration Pilgrim Cases

For armor you can get the military set from Pilgrim Outpost, personal favorite.
You can also get it from doing orange events in the open world

Military kits, I farmed them during Tower Raid
GRE facilities
Shen Xiu missions
You can also get them from pilgrim cases while doing aberrations
