i spam regen booster and use rage booster at generator defenses
i ignore the infected (if i dont have a mission about them) by either being fast with opening the crates or distracting them

i recommend you get max level regen booster,its quite handy

If its just the knife then no there isnt a way, items found scale to the area level unless you're playing NG+

If you have a blueprint for the knife you can increase the stats by upgrading the blueprint at a craftsmaster

Halp ! Just bought DL2 and im having some perf issues:
Using 4090 i cant seem to get gpu util above 60% or so with DLSS unless i crank up resolution…but none the less fps stays the same. (70-90fps range)
Also FG is gone from settings window ?

Rest of the system: 7800x3d, 32gb ram, 2tb nvme

FG is gone for now because nvidia fucked up latest driver update, till that you have to use DLSS3

Also, set LOD render distance to 100

If you have it maxed out, 4090 goes brrr

What about poor performance with DLSS ? On prologue it worked just fine but after that performance dropped off a cliff.

Look for critical errors, its on main page / if you see say dying light2 then right click to open full info on it.
