As a work around, I use https://mapgenie.io/dying-light-2 (you can get a mobile app version). I place my own custom notes there.

Also if you do not want to be "spoiled" then you can disable all map markers but the ones you create.

I didn't even really care for it being in the same spot, the idea was more about making use of the how the current day and night cycle operates with sky textures that switch and having the lighting for that night change based on the sky texture it switched to, though i guess in this case they would've had to make more skies with different moon types and they may not want to do that (specially since the "Fix the sun, guys" suggestion is in their backlog if they were going to work on that 🥴)
