Im on legend levels so on nightmare mode i get around 9k from parkour challenges and zombies give around 100 exp points per kill.
Theres a few challenges that give even more. Like the bees parkour challenge giving 13k or slam dunk giving 18k
Id say its pretty worth it, specially if you wanna try a different route in the story or a different faction

honestly, they should make it so if you have your mouse or button held after a point is distributed
that it keeps on adding points at a faster rate but slow enough to know when to be released
