I've never entered forsaken stores and dark hollows with looting in mind. Quests and specific enemy type farming were the main reasons for me. All my resources came from vendors and craftmasters and chance pickups.

I usually stand anywhere in the street during the day and fire some weapon or throw some granades to call the virals. running on the borders of central loop map is also great cause you have some of those trucks with gas tanks, probably not the fastest method to farm those but I find it the most chaotic and entertaining one.

U can farm virals during day. Just start harassing some howler (don't kill it) and he'll call for his viral buddies. Great place to do that is Chapel of Resurrection -St. Paul Island (The Baba's place). In front of main gate there will be always a Howler and once he starts screaming viral will start crawling from under the chapel and start dying coz of "Baba's curse"

Also, if you haven't yet try block charging her off a ledge, that usually kills her as well.
