Cheating is weak(assuming since there are so many cheat mods), and for players who want to do a legit playthrough and have their lobby open for players to join and have fun, and then a cheater comes in, drops legendary stuff and oneshots everything....kinda ruins the fun for the majority of players. I'd say that's a pretty good reason, and also when there's community events so you cannot cheat complete them easily.

I don’t think it’s the mods that are the problem but more so the community, I used to play DL1 and early in DL2 joining lower levels and I always tried to interfere as little as possible and watch the low levels do the bosses, I only ever helped when they needed/asked for it. In fact, I tried using lower tier items just to nerf myself for them. It didn’t matter what was in my inventory because my mindset was to not ruin the game for them

But players reaching legit leves have everything legit and actually knows the game, while cheaters don't and just runs around way ahead just to bash some skulls in and takes a lot of the fun away. I've personally seen that upclose in way too many games like fore example a whole group struggling on a boss in Monster Hunter World and in comes a cheater and just one-taps-it , felt like all our struggle and work to get gear was for nothing when a cheater just got it in a few button presses while us legit players spent days if not weeks. If cheaters wanna cheat, they should either be banned or sent to a separate server somewhere far far way from regular players and never be able to interract.

this is an argument regarding my fav topic. flickering flashlight in dying light 2 nightmare mode -
putting forward a premise that says essentially "do you even know what flickering flashlight is?" seems - politely - lacking. let me be clear what I'm asserting -
the flickering flashlight (regardless of it's state, being flicker, dim, off, ran out of juice, whatever), as an aesthetic, does nothing to enhance the mood. the tempo for nightmare gameplay is far too advanced and speedy. no one playing nightmare has weak gear, probably. No one in nightmare would play through slowly sneaking because one of the benefits of nightmare, implicitly, is to get MORE xp faster. I get something over 10x xp when I play nightmare. I'm certainly not going to spend time moving slowly to have any kind of building up for spooky factor from a flickering flashlight.

(the second assertion) incorporating pressing T twice into one's gameplay key cycles has no value to the gameplay and only serves to muddy the gameplay button cycle. Again, TT resets the flicker light back to full strength. doesn't matter if it's completely dimmed to lightless, or just flickering.

(the third assertion) from the basis of 1 and 2, the flicker flashlight only adds unnecessary tedium to the game because the pressing of the button muddies the gameplay keypress cycles with an unnecessary keypress, and the flickerlight serves no aesthetic purpose due to the tempo of the game and strength of the player at this point.

the only time I could see, maybe, the flicker flashlight having any kind of effect would be at the VERY beginning of the game, when you're weak, and sneak around and move slow, which again shows that the flicker flashlight has no place in nightmare mode.
