I think the hard mode choice to make gear sell for a small amount was weird but I guess it puts more emphasis on selling valuables and disassembling the gear for parts.
I think it's okay for early game but you stop really looking in shops for weapons and armor after a certain point.

Like DL2 very clearly wanted to change things like removing guns and weapon repair but people wanted them back so they added them back. Framing it like "It took them this long to add this feature" is weird to me cuz they clearly didn't plan it from the start or anything.
