I am talking about something different.

I was on Hard Mode (that is Hard I know and I can handle if I am paying attention and using my buffs.

I had
700 Health.
48 Gear Armor.
+50.4% Damage Resistance (Infected).
-25% Damage Taken, Toughness Booster (Fully upgraded).

I new there were Volatiles outside and I wanted a fight and went in and engaged. My fingers slipped and the first slash from a Volatile hit me for 176 (700 - 176 = 524). Right way a second Volatile I had not even seen pounced on me for 358 damage taking my health down to 166 (524 - 358 = 166).

I used Military Med Kit and tried using The Carnage Manica. I was at Full health and after Blocking 2 hits I was below 50% health (did not capture exact numbers). I saw not difference between blocking with the Carnage Manica and not blocking at all... I usually enjoy the combat. But sometimes I am dead in only a couple of hits. Seems to be happening more lately but not all the time. Anyone else experience intermittent extremum damage or ignoring blocking, armor and resistances?

I was talking about this earlie rwhen doing research,
Trailers are kind of blah when it comes to sussing out the actual gameplay of a game.
it could help portray the story in a quick bite-able segment leaving you to figure out what more there is discover and explore in this 'enticing' world.
but if all games played out like their trailers we'd have masterpieces lol

I dont remember much from E3 Trailers or 'Elysium'
from what I understand there is a lot of cut small content that the developers of DL2 are slowly trying to reintergrate back into the game which is very much needed.
a lot of the ways going about adding them into the game could be better
( Scorpio weapon from E3 Trailer being locked behind bounties that were a timed event is a good example)
anyways.
I think DL2 is a good game.
DL1 has similar issues on launch and it took like 5+ years to become a cult classic amongst not just the zombie game in genres but games in general
I'll give it time and cross my fingers and hope I'm not disappointed

DL1 was also a complete game at release, and it's share of bugs were nothing compared to DL2 at release.

I appreciate the fact they are trying to fix it but instead of focusing on like big updates that ad a lot of missing stuff they could also make monthly updates that add back some "small meaningless" stuff back

We got DLC2 for DL1 a year after the game's release. But for DL2, people who paid for the Ultimate Edition have yet to get their money's worth 2+ years after release

I would generally agree, but they literally did this for DL1, and that was without a promise of 5+ years of support. Meanwhile DL2 HAS that promise but they've moved on most of their workforce.
