they're balanced enough as they're now, and they're fun to use, but they're not strong enough to be the strongest optimal thing to clear missions and others, they're perfect as they're now

we didn't introduce guns to replace melee, close combat stays as focus of Dying Light 2

guns are additional, same as bows and crossbows are (and the latter 2 also got buffed for this update)

With sniper riffle - Tymon already adresset it on stream, I asked him that on our QnA

and he dont see really a space for this kind of weapon in DL2, even if we understand how some players see it as the go to firearm

ok, just try to analyze how fun could be to use a sniper to destroy explosives from high range distance and see like hordes of zombie going there, + it could be a nice addition to clear some entrance , but it's just a 1-person feeling so, no harm if it's not possible , it's understandable 🙂
