We are working on some changes, meanwhile - guns are not droppable to prevent players from accidental loosing them. Currently you can sell them back if you want to get rid of them!

FOV feels different

There's no FOV change. We added a special effect that scales the player's mesh to revert the FOV transformation so that the player and their weapon appear always the same no matter what FOV player choose. So if you increase FOV and don't see more of the player or the weapon then it's working correctly as expected.

All bonuses from your gear apply properly to the weapon.
The gear bonuses will show up only if those are "fixed" bonuses - for example, Brawler gear always give you a bonus to the 1H weapons, so this will show up.
Those knuckleduster bonuses are randomized chance - therefore they will not be on the card (but they work). Hope that helps!

Oh anyone else think DL2s content loop has changed a lot, like at the start you swapped weapons a lot until you got bows then you stuck to your bow and what ever melee you had at the time.

Now days you stick to a melee weapon and upgrade it through your playthrough, only replacing it when you craft a better or get a red version.

Really hope nightmare has weapon durability drasticly reduced and things being able to damage durability or destroy weapons in nightmare.

So far, gun wise, the pistol and shotguns are the only ones that feel good to use. the pistol is a good last ditch hoard clear if you are accurate and have to deal with a lot of biters or virals.

The shotgun, is just the king of taking down heavies from safety but its ammo means using it for anything less then a demolisher or volitile feels like a waste.

Rifles are meh, and will be meh until weapon mods come because the main point or rifles are their adaptability.

and the SMG is just a crappy version of the pistol that goes through ammo way to fast.

Granted I hope we get more weapons in each class.

there is several safe zone ones but one is more focused on building a camp which you protect, other the one space for all your accesses to collectibles etc

LEver action rifle: 8 round tube, slower firing rate but higher damage, comes at a cost of slow reload an fire time.

Revolver: 6 rounds high damage and heavy weakpoint crit bonus, but slower to fire.

PP7-bizon: 64 round SMG, high rate of fire and good damage, more accurate then the standard SMG but slower to reload and slower fire rate.

double barrel shotgun: already planned don't need to suggest.

Mp5: 3 round burst SMG, more accurate high fire rate SMG, good all rounder has a built in UV under mount light.

p90: top tier SMG, uses rifle AMMO though, 50 round mag, high rate of fire and accuracy, ignores a % of enemy resistances.

I personally think civilians should go for them with open arms, while the PK command actually avoids guns, sure PKS would get them and try to get them but command would see the trouble they can cause. guns are loud, swords are not. even a well suppressed 9mm is louder then a crossbow.

Actually here is a more fleshed out idea, even though it will not go anywhere.

Renegade Sniper (pre gun)

weapon: hunters spear gun (purple)
weapon info: a single shot spear gun used by Renegade soldiers, fires a long range projectile that does 500 damage (gains bonuses for bow) has a built in mace on the back. Has a built in red/green laser aim module for aiming. (50% change to be either one.)

AI: the REnegade sniper is placed in specific places or random spawns, they stay up high and fire down on infected in the streets, PKs in set pieces, and the player. They will aim at the player faster if hte player has a glider.

In combat the Renegade sniper will use its Hunter spear gun for most of the fight, only swaping to its mace mode if the player gets close.

mobility wise the renegade sniper have grapple hooks that they will use to get up high.
