as it is right now, there is no refund planned for players.
We have done sales on all game content through and through, and just as it is with sales. Additionally, players who obtained game earlier had all the extra content - from free bundles and points, to timed events with items newcomers will not obtain. Adding BT to base game is a step in the direction to give them more value when starting, since they already missed so many things you got for free.
At least this is where we are standing with it right now.

Here are the steps you need to do:

1. redeem it first at one screen,
2. take out of stash to your inventory on another screen
3. select it as one of the used weapons on third screen
