it doesnt work this way, you'll always be tempted to use them instead of melee weapons, in every harder situations you'll just want to use guns, and for newer players they'll also aim to get the guns faster so they can be strong from the start, guns are not supposed to be that common, technically they shouldnt even exist anymore, if guns are fixable, craftable, ammo can be acquired easily and you can stack a ton of it, then they'll be too op and ruin the balance of the game. very few people actually want guns to be implemented like that, most of us are fine with the idea of guns as long as they're not broken, and some just don't want guns at all. And imo that's how you please everyone, bring them to the game, make them very rare, make their ammo rare, uncraftable, unfixable, you'll only have to use them when absolutely necessary (that goes for op guns at least). If they bring some kind of hybrid weapon like scorpio, i'd absolutely love this idea.

Sure, it's a flaw, and that's the reason why copy & pasting the same buildings, prefabs & assets over and over again isn't good, but it's nothing but a nitpick and it doesn't really take away from the main game experience
