You bring up a good point. DLC items in DL1 were almost always relevant cus you were able to craft them into gold rarity from a gold base weapon. But weapons in DL2 don't use base weapons in their blueprints and the system works entirely different, with Legendary being the highest you can make.

If they drop rare loot or lots of crafting material sure but them dropping the bundle weapon is, imo, a bit short sighted of the bigger picture they are dealing with

What's short sited is releasing an event with warriors that have such cool weapons & armor, & they don't drop any of it when you defeat them. "Oh boy, 2 gold. This is nice".

but lets just keep defending micro transactions for games that the majority of people play in single-player
