In both games, legend levels are simply something else to aim for post regular levels. They aren't really a key component for the game as a whole (besides for mostly NG+/long time ish players). This means it makes sense for legend levels to be a grind

you could say that; but you mostly feel compelled to get stronger and stronger in both games, and legend levels dangle that infront of you like car keys while you're drunk

yet they are nearly impossible to do without some heavy use of cheese and glitches unless you are willing to spend months with each day being a all nighter
