This goes all the way back in 2019 where i proposed my work to them, it was their choice to add it into the game
It's like submitting a work of art, but in a different shape of form, ever since Digital Scapes left (the old BtZ team for DL1)

Ah I see! So, the previous team left, and since you were offering fleshed out work for the higher ups to simply copy and paste in, they were down for it. Is anyone else able to also do this? Or is it a trust thing and you're enough? Idk, I find it interesting

Well, it isn't just "made by me".

Yes, the changes i implement and make are done by me, are being sent to them. But this whole balance thing was done in a playtester group of BtZ ( 10 - 30 ppl?) players varied in skill levels, so it was the best way to receive feedback, and balance around the general skill level without making it too "elite play only" sort of thing. Anyone should still be able to play the gamemode and enjoy it, without being the best of the best.

Only bad thing is that, techland had to split these updates into different segments, which causes a lot of disbalance, as it's all supposed to be in one update. Imagine creating a gun, but putting it in the market without it fully functioning. That's kind of the only issue i've had to far

There's a difference now

Previously, in the base game, the NHB just inhert all buffs from a speed booster, stamina booster and a resistance booster together. So, it was always the best in the game (i'm not going to be talking about event boosters here such as eggnog). So, there was no real reason for you to use a speed booster.

So instead now, you have boosters with different effects if it's a booster with a singular effect (eg. speed booster)
For example, NHB would give 20% movement speed in vanilla, but in the new update it's 10%.
However, a Speed booster would give 15% movement speed instead, as it doesnt give other effects like the NHB

It's basically splitting boosters into their own "playstyle" category. If you like speed, get speed booster. if you like resistance, get a resistance booster. If you like everything, get a NHB (but expect less power in these effects)

NHB lasts 105s while a singular effect booster lasts for 120s

longer duration of a booster = the sooner you'll feel like the booster cooldown will be back up
