Well, as far as I know, the jumping after sprinting on console and pc are different. console, as soon as you jump, it slows you down, but pc, you smoothly glide for like 2 seconds and then tendril again to keep your speed when tendril sprinting

for me to explain with with controller in mind
Essentially, tendril sprint a lot when there is enough room (although that's like 95% of the time imo)
and keep your spits up, collecting, and you can tackle the person, if it lands, spit right after, 100% spit stuck if you don't purchase the tackle knockback skill EDIT: Also, after the spit stuck, tendril along the ground to the human and GP, claw, (pounce if uv spit)
when you're mutating, you want to get tackle and gp knockback last
Once you hit mut 3, people always waste a uv block for uv heal EVERYTIME
