It's possible some potential mega laggy shit happened and that was splash damage from something but I hear the impact bolt afterwards and there's no way it was gonna be that. Its also possible the guy in the water threw something but you would see hud indicator and he doesnt look like he did.

@honest gate I usually use impacts but obviously you can still do poison damage even if you miss your shot with toxic bolts. I usually only use toxic bolts on toxic hunters or hunters that uv heal a lot because it will slow down the uv heal animation and will prevent health regen for a bit while the toxic is on, and on top of all this it can make it hard to see when the hunter is affected by the poison. Sorry for the paragraph just wanted to help.
