It's not like dark souls where you have to match two parts of an animation, every time you jump you'll evade tackle for the next 0,2s and with the lag of this mode that info is completely irrelevant to you. You should always expect everyone to dodge a tackle if they are looking directly at you. The human can only look so many degrees off of you and dodge a tackle so that's what you should be going for, alongside confusion and keeping them occupied to pin them down.

i'm mutation 2, almost making it to 3, and i absolutely don't know whether i've peaked at mediocrity or if i need full apex pred abilities unlocked to reliably counter the more skilled ultimate survivors

Tendril speed is a good way to counter for the speed will make that you are harder to hit and how to do that is that you try in the tutorial map diffrent ways to tendril with a combination with small, medium and large sized tendrils, ghost claw that you claw and tendril then claw is a fast way to do that then try to tackle from behind when you can go faster @drifting copper i hope this is something that will help you

tendril sprint was a huge help when i learned about it a while ago, but it seems tackle is completely worthless when dealing with decent survs. only way to do it is to be tricky, and you can't be tricky reliably when you don't even have all hunter abilities unlocked

Poison bolt is best against NH because its AOE is bugged

If hunter with low hp is fleeing you need just near-miss shot and he'll get poisoned and eventually die. Even if bolt just flies past him and never explodes

sense supp spit is an easy way to counter this advantage for the most experienced survivors. it's arguably a pretty important tool if you wanna win against Dante Must Die 5000 hour ultimate survs

of course, being invisible on the minimap won't matter if you're predictable as fuck or spam UV block
