Ok, so, um, there are two versions of that:

• The simple version: (hold Claw and Tendril at the same time—start a bit earlier with Claw).
• The advanced version:
  1. start holding Claw
  2. Howl (or spit)
  3. wait for the animation of the preceding action to end
  4. start holding Tendril

With the simple version, your Tendril is cancelled then you go into charging a GP whilst retaining momentum from the movement; with the advanced, you are actually simultaneously tendriling and charging a GP.

For hunters, they see people whose ELO is close to their own. Anyone much more skilled or much less skilled—according to the game—will have less bars, thus lower placement on the list.

However, be aware, if an Apex fights their OP 5k-hour friend over & over again and loses every match, their ELO can get so low they see newbies at the top, despite not ranking down. Rank and ELO are quite separate.

I do, too, actually. Some people really like to join me just to start drama with me. Someone told me, on console, when you block people, they actually lose the ability to connect to your session. It's amazing.

Depending on how skilled the hunter is, it might be really hard to dodge.
You can try backsliding.

Well, this game's PvP is hard/idiosyncratic—takes forever to get used to. I used to be so easy to tackle; now I'm impressed by how slippery I can seem to some Apexes.

So, like, one trick you'll notice pros do: shortly after the hunter howls, the human'll hook upwards then cancel the hook—'cause, like, Apex Predators will typically howl before they GP. This brief elevation may make the hunter miss a howl → GP.

The human will also turn to the hunter and spam jump to dodge Tackle in case the hunter tackles instead of GPing. Grapple-cancel briefly enables aerial tackle evasion, after all.

It's particularly problematic as the hunter, 'cause, like, you'll notice its camera turn speed decreases tremendously whilst sprinting. You can counter that by having really high sensitivity on mouse. On controller, even with max stick sensitivity, the hunter's sprint turn speed is ass.

Tangentially, if I want to team up with specific friends, I set the visibility to "friends-only" (or "private"), invite 'em. Once the human friends are in, I set visibility to "public" and disable co-ops.

That kind of stuff can happen with lag, I believe.

Similarly, courtesy of lag: you can a slice a hunter, see no HP decrease; you can UV it, see no energy depletion—or the effect(s) can seem very delayed. Watch out for any indicators of connection issues:

• Freezing for a long time during the beginning of the pounce or tackle animation.
• Lots of teleporting, and the movement patterns don't indicate it's solely due to super speed.
• Unusually low FPS.
• Delayed (or missing) log messages.

Anyways, I haven't encountered any "spit immunity" cheat. A more blatant indicator of cheating in this specific case would be: they were affected by the spit, then they paused, then, all of a sudden, their HP was fully restored and the spit effect was gone (self-resetting).

Teker pulls out the modded, inf-ammo shotgun then starts being super patient while camping in open areas, but still loses the remaining lives without managing to destroy the first nest (pounce deaths). x)

Those are called flares. Any of the following:

• Ground Pound it while a human is close to it.
• Destroy it with UV Spit.

Oh, absolutely. It is quite common to do water tackles and water GPs.

The hunter is actually extra dangerous in the water if you master those 2 techniques.

You can even pounce while you're in water. If water tackle's too hard, if the human is at the surface of the water, you can jump and claw (but they can also jump and slice, or jump and do double-crossbow shot).

You're welcome. Though, in team battles, watch out if someone is DFA camping above you (especially if you just landed in water—they'll often expect you to immediately tendril away in order to escape shots). Tendriling in water makes you susceptible to getting DFAed while you're in water.

So, basically, bombers are only supposed to be present on the ground. The telebomber glitch is characterized by a bomber spawning on—or teleporting onto—a rooftop. Often, when it occurs, the bomber spawns right where the human is, resulting in an unfair instant death in an area that's supposed to be safe.

2 people. Lovely. If you tackle person A, then person B gets knocked down due to being close to A as A was being tackled, you can get a guaranteed pounce on B. That teammate-induced knockdown briefly UV suppresses B.

If A will end up being close, just pounce B immediately after the tackle—A will be staggered too long to help.

Hmm. I see. One thing to keep in mind: the game actually nerfs human flare usage when there are more people.

Like, in a 1v1, someone can have 2-3 flares down at a time. In a 2v1 and above, only one at a time, generally. Even the strength of UV against you decreases when there are more humans.

Being a UV-suppressed human in a 4v1 with newbies can be quite dangerous, 'cause that's when flare cooldown is the longest. Your flare will run out well before your next one is ready and the teammates may not be skilled enough to protect you.

If the hunter leaves prior to the destruction of the first nest, it is merely an "abort" (no loss, no victory). So, as a human, if I'm invaded by a newbie, I have to go easy 'til I destroy the first nest, lest my ELO stagnates, courtesy of their early ragequit(s).
