It's not about modder. It's just the game is so unplayable. No matter what I do humans always dmg hunter first. I do gp and they just swing 2H at me. If I fail tackle it is another 2H swing. If I succeed a pounce, the player just use 2H to hit me while I am in mid animation and killing me right after. If I tendril close, they still 2H with insane hitbox range. But evading tackle is so easy for humans.

That's the same for DFA as well. When playing with more than 2 players there is always one person trying to dfa right after a tackle or GP. It is unavoidable although I know I need to evade it. Dropkick spam is crazy as well.

lol I only wish they could disable cancel animations. If you swing 2H, it should just be slow and exactly 1 sec but not using a grappling hook to reduce time and hit as if using a knife
