At the end of the day there’s not much I can tell you other than the fundamentals

That is make sure you have flares, UV and the grappling hook in your equipment

As for weapons you can use pretty much anything but I’d recommend some kind of one handed weapon, and some kind of two handed weapon

And some kind of ranged weapon in the form of any gun, bow or crossbow

One thing to know is to learn the Hunter’s movesets and actually play as the Hunter for a little bit, so you know what they’re capable of and how to counter and plan accordingly

There’s so much more than that but if you’re learning then these are the best I can offer for now

That’s fine, though I’d switch out GREcipe for something else like one of the standard boosters (night Hunter booster, speed booster etc)

You can't dodge in the air mod

After pressing the jump key they have 0,5s where they will dodge a tackle so if they jump off an elevated surface you're just tackling slightly too early to land it and if they jump on flat ground and seemingly dodge at the apex of their jump then you're seeing them like half a second in the past and they managed to make another jump input before you tackled, btz will never be 100% real-time because DL works on peer to peer connection

So as a rule of thumb; never trust what you're seeing at the moment and anticipate what is going to happen instead.

When you get to more advanced gameplay people dodge seemingly in the middle of their fall because they're just grapple canceling to halt their fall and each time you use the grappling hook it makes you able to dodge one tackle shortly afterwards in the air before you reset it again by touching a surface to jump, or by grappling again.
And due to latency once again, you usually can't tell when survivors use the grappling hook unless they let it pull for a longer distance.
However
If someone keeps going fast down or sideways and don't seem to interrupt it themselves in any way, there's more reason to suspect something
I've had some idiots who could tp in the sky and still dodge my counter tackles on their dfa attempts
so its possible to make yourself able to dodge with cheats, when you shouldnt
you never know...

I'm having a problem with it, every person I try to join it says Session is no longer available I try using quick play and the same thing happens, with every player, so I can't level up or do anything and fighting NPCs that don't deal damage to you is very boring.

you have to complete the Hunter's tutorial. all of those marked white/orange points. it won't let you progress without that

the red markers are part of the tutorial. they're the nests.
You should have a bunch of NPCs around hitting it that you're supposed to kill. if not, your game's probably bugged
