It's pretty simple. There's a concept in multiplayer games called game balance. Imagine a rifle or smg with 30 bullets doing the same amount of damage to the Hunter, that they would do to the human enemies in game. Add to this the fact that automatic rifles and smgs have like 400-600 rpm fire rate.
How is that fair to the Hunter?
