The tutorial takes way too long, the narrative isn’t really that thrilling and drags a lot, great graphics and attention to detail but not much happen mid way though, once you get to end game you just get to chill for the remainder of the save

Also the npcs are really good

But they do complain alot

Overall I rate it a 4/5

Could be improved if it wasn’t so boring at some key story points

And if the npcs weren’t as annoying, though some are good

I’m fantastic at V it’s just people need to realize that V is a very infantry focused game pick a class and a gun that you can run and gun with like my personal favourite the mp40

Yeah. Sights and trajectory don't match. But the bullets don't keep going to the center; both the sight and the trajectory deviate from center but the annoying part is just that the trajectory doesn't match. It sucks when you want to be really competitive. However Bf1 is a game where you can win using either meat on your wrist or meat in your skull. Both stand a chance. My aim isn't great so I play well because I think, and I like that. Suppression is a pretty annoying mechanic on top of that because it maximizes the exact problem we're talking about. I just keep in mind that it also works against the enemy like it does against me, so I take advantage of it and get tons of suppression & kill assists because I always shoot on sight regardless of distance. Unless I have other plans.

But hey man, there's nothing wrong with getting immersed. I play the game because I just find it really cool. I was never bothered by aspects of the game that hinder your own performance, because I think they just keep it interesting. I don't think I ever really played for the competition, it's definitely the atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Though I am a huge completionist so I still try for whatever assignments I'm attempting.
Remember, kill the part of you that cringes, not the part you cringe at.

I've met a lot of people who also can't seem to get immersed, who I've noticed often don't find single player stories interesting either. I wonder if it just takes a different environment for each kind of person to take a game seriously on a certain level. Because there are games that feel more like looking at a screen for me. I think the most memorable moments where I've concentrated two of my senses entirely to the game, genuinely felt terrified or something that slightly alternates from being terrified have been in SCP: Secret Laboratory, Rust, L4D2 versus, Amnesia, Insurgency (1 & Sandstorm)
I've had similar tense moments in Siege, Dark Souls 3, Dead Space, Subnautica, SOMA, Titanfall 2 and BF1 but they're nothing of the sort of the first few.

SCPSL gets me if I take it seriously. For that it needs to be a vanilla server with no silly stuff and where I have no clear plan for the round. Wandering around a facility not knowing where any friend or foe is. Or even worse, knowing but having to sneak past them is thrilling.

Rust used to get me because playing alone means it's you against the world and you could run into someone who wants to kill you at any point, anywhere in the map. Playing together and constantly exchanging information and figuring out what to do in a firefight or trying to come on top of an ambush is the most stressful non-professional gaming experience in the world.

L4D2 versus had me screaming, externally or internally sometimes just for pure competition. I've always played in a full private party and when you have some very confident and some amateur friends all on your ass and a single click could decide whether you get a lot of points or not. Also when I'm very confidently on the opposing side and I'm hunting down that sorry guy and taunting them in a very exclaiming manner.

Amnesia is just terrifying. There is nothing else to it. You actually want to run and run fast you do, and whatever it is you are avoiding getting always a little too close definitely raises some hairs. Perfectly designed game in terms of danger. You always just barely make it if you play it right.

Insurgency does it with it's realism and importance of sound because it takes one shot and you're dead and gain a disadvantage. Sandstorm literally jumpscares me with how some people have executed their assault. When someone kicks in a door or opens fire close by after a tediously long silence it's entirely possible you might twitch a little and be half a second too late in aiming at the source.

Oh yeah, there is one honorable mention that doesn't quite keep up the tension, but does jumpscare you really bad at times. Project Zomboid. Your cone of vision and hearing always leave the possibility that a zombie is so close you could literally smell it and then you're grabbed so suddenly you just aren't prepared for it.

Imo I think the story and the gameplay of 6 feel so separated. It is like the game is trying to tell a semi-gritty story about an uprising that succeeds to a dictatorous regime, but then the cutscenes end and you go back to blowing up shit with a magic backpack or injecting cocaine into your leg and shooting through walls with a ghost cat, ya know what I mean, it is such a switch of pace all the time.
