In Smite you have:
- Conquest - Your main 5v5 mode you see in MOBAs
- Siege - 4v4 with two lanes and a huge jungle between them. Unique siege minions occasionally spawn as strong anti tower weapons.
- Joust - 3v3 with a large jungle and objective on one side.
- Duel - 1v1 on the same map as Joust
- Assault - Exactly how you described ARAM but for Smite
- Arena - A literal open circle gladiator pit map for 5v5, basically just no laning or jungle elements. If you want to turn your brain off or learn a new character this place is nice. Also filled with people who ONLY play this gamemode because they're grug.
- Clash - A 5v5 blend to help those transition from Arena to proper Conquest. 2 lanes with jungles on either side, and an objective in the middle. Definitely one of the most toxic gamemodes for whatever reason.

You have other event / rotating gamemodes exactly like what Cock described, and some unique ones like tossing people off of ledges with CC abilities lol

If you know League you'll know the core of Smite
The main differences that I am aware of are:
- No bushes in Smite
- You have to actually aim your basic attacks in Smite, and can juke them too
- You can't see behind you since it's not top down, it's third person. But at the same time your line of sight goes very far ahead so you can see enemies very far away if you're looking in their direction
