Vehicle customization, buying new apartments and modifying them, a wanted system and corrupt police, more interesting combat and hacking, npc that feel as alive as in RDR2, quests decisions that will have relevance, the incredible character customization, the 3 different paths that would actually do something aside from adding a few dialogue options, non-linear story paths based on your lifestyle choice, more braindances, better weapon customization , the scaling walls, the transportation system. And these are the ones I can remember on the top of my head. When they decide to add all of them, as they should've from the start, I'll try it again then

in old halos every mission is a different map you load into and the usual course of a mission is clear enemies, complete objective, get a checkpoint and repeat. The maps have pretty open but linear paths you shoot and beat through, sometimes using vehicles. You don't keep ANYTHING between missions, it's basically just a new level you load into and it has preset weapons given to you in the beginning and as you play through it you pick up more grenades and keep switching to guns that you take off dead enemies or find in the world.

While Infinite is like a big open world like DL where you can complete things in the order you want like side quests in DL

Halo's signature feature has always been that you are just THAT. Whatever you initially spawn as, you will stay as. The only change is switching weapons and in Reach, tactical ability.
It's not like other shooters where you come in fully customized and nobody is the same. Even in multi everyone spawns with the same identical loadout at match start.

So I don't know how to feel about you actually getting to choose stuff

but I'll have to play it to find out what it's like
