but when you do remember this:
lightwells collect liquid starlight during the night. Put aquamarines or rock crystals on them so they start collecting. The max they can hold is 2 buckets.

You split rock crystals by digging a 1 block hole on the ground and putting a bucket of liquid starlight in it and dropping a rock crystal in it, it will absorb the liquid after some minutes and after it absorbs enough of it, it will split into two and you can have infinite rock crystals when you constantly split them. U can then use shitty ones for crafting so u dont have to waste good stats

the rock crystal wont despawn when dropped
