It'll focus on one or more specific characters, nothing more. And if something else does happen, it should be done right rather than just "oh these poor side characters".

It's not about being selfish, it's just the way it works, be it real life or games.

And in that same way, real life things like forgive and move on, rather than revenge and trying to justify, can be applied like real life into a game.

Yes Joel did some bad stuff, nobody's denying that, but they could've handled it better in the sequel, but that's not what they had in mind...

I think the Joel/Abby message got hit in the crossfire, between the fans that got backstabbed and whatever weird ass other message Neil Cuckmann wanted to put in the game.

i dont really dig deep in the unimportant things. i look at it as a whole. I liked TLOU2 it was a great game in my opinion.

my only issue is i think joels death should have been pushed after all of the flashbacks. if all flashbacks played out as normal gameplay and then lead to joels death it would have had a bigger impact and wouldnt have been as contriversial.

the game had bad pacing thats my only complaint.

doing things like refunding the game, cutting it in half etc is incredibly childish to say the least. sad that so many gamers are impatient and over emtotional about things like that.

Eh, I rarely pre-order games or get any fancy/special edition, first doing some research or waiting a bit.

At some point I did consider getting TLOU1, but then didn't feel like Neil Cuckmann is worth giving any money to.

What killed it for many, was all the stuff that came out, not even counting the entire story release etc, before it's release...
Some still had to try it out, but eh... not losing any sleep over not even considering to think of buying TLOU2... ain't worth the cash.
(Plus if anything it'll be even more piss cheaper soon so... )

Just look at the ME remaster, if they want to censor/edit that which ain't worth censoring/editing (their own words/hypocrisy) or screwing anything over be it characters or other, there's no telling how far they're willing to go until it's too late for some to realize the damage that's been done.

As for people refunding the game, it's their right to do so.
If they're a fan of the first game which was really awesome, to then be screwed over and want to then refund it, they have 100% the right to do so.

It has no midpoint, we go at the end of ellie’s chapter, as to where Abby is pointing a DAMN GUN at Ellie, after Tommy is lying on the ground telling Ellie to get out. but no, Neil switches us right to Abby searching for her dad. That’ll totally get us to sympathize for her, right? Wrong. It got us nowhere, some people even quit because we had to play as Abby. most streamers pulled through to make their fans happy. Where as TLOU1 switched us from Joel to Ellie with a steady and good RISING ACTION. like all GOOD games should have. we go from assuming that Joel is dead and Ellie is alone, which is her biggest fear. Being alone, which is over conquered when she killed David, the rapist and murderer. And we see the final moments of winter as Joel and Ellie reunite and come back together happily. But instead, an analogy like i’ve gave before, is that Joel dying to Abby, is like Batman dying to one of Joker’s goons.

Abby and that story stuff was merely created for TLOU2 and whatever reasons they had.

I think you overthought it. Only thing I didn't like was how Ellie insisted on one last fight at the end. Kind of made her look stupid. I really didn't see any of that what you mention but I just played it and felt what I felt. If I was writing my theses and doing a complete in depth examination of the game for school then maybe I might see that stuff but it's just entertainment so I only look for enjoyment. This is what pisses me off. You people that love and live the game only look for the positive things, and block out all the negative things. Then you use the positive stuff to your advantage, that’s not how it works. The amount of horrible directing in just 10 hours of gameplay is astronomical. I indeed was also playing it and felt what I felt, but to me it was just lazy writing with horrible dialogue. No character arc whatsoever, we are just endlessly killing people in creative ways, almost like Hitman in ‘The Last of Us’ series. I think you underthought it. The game didn't care for a single moment for established universe and characters. The name was blatantly used for marketing in hope to boost sells using the first opus hype, and it's a scam. It only goes for shock value, nothing deep was added, well, they tried but failed each time - it ends up cringe not because all the ideas are bad but because they trample on an established universe. If they had a single shred of trust in their story, they would have used a completely new cast. This was hypocrisy at a peak level. If it was not using the licence name, I'd say it's, at least, a decent game. They would have had more freedom for characters even... The game is 5.7 on metacritic, by people who actually matters: the players. And it was despite a heavy positive review bombing of people who never played the game but somehow thought they had to support it. There was probably more or as much of it as negative bombing. So 5.7 is quite a trustworthy score overall. It wasn't picked GoTY by people who actually matters: the players. It was lying on shelves for so long that it was almost given with other games. On the fundamental level, these devs did something that should never be done to a fan base, it's called treason.

The game did teach me something fundamental about game development though. If you can alienate nearly half your player base, you're probably doing something wrong. In this case, perhaps the wrong thing was stamping 'TLoU" on the game, who knows how it would have turned with a new cast

One of the biggest reasons why a non domesticated species would be a bad pet is because their natural behavior is from a completely different world.
Although one of you doesn't possess a lot of the abstract concepts a completely sentient being does, in a way you could say you and a wild cat will never understand each other... in the one common way you can communicate in; body language.

Things that are normal to them would be inappropriate to us. And their evolutionary habits for doing their things are so strong it's insanely hard to train one to behave in a way humans would find appropriate. Having a caracal would involve a lot of play fighting and misinterpreting because you as the other not smaller living thing in the room, become the equivalent of its group in the wild.

I'll keep that in mind, then. My biggest problem with this game is that sometimes unconcious npc's randomly die. I will never understand how they fucking die. I can't remember how many times i've restarted whole levels because someone died. And that shit makes the ghost run even more tedious.

The really neat thing about doing clean hands/ghost is that when you're low chaos, there're way less weepers and rats you have to worry about, as opposed to high chaos (but nobody cares about unconscious bodies in high chaos)

I sometimes get lucky and their back is turnt so I can just hit them with a sleep dart or choke them out

And when grinding for the achievement itself, you can skip the entire "get back your gear" section at flooded district and just continue on

since the last mission is easy af to complete, and I know since I played all of it on hard using no other powers except blink, but it should be easy to someone who can access all their powers

Yep, even if i can't get ghost, i always get the clean hands rating. I feel disgusting when i kill people and see the result of my actions. Didn't even kill Daud.

You don't actually need to even engage with daud, only pickpocket him and get the key

There's a table you can hide under behind Daud, pickpocket him from there, and grab the key and then just blink to the nearest bookshelf and you won't be caught

The duel is pretty epic tho, and daud doesn't act like a coward and does a one on one, telling his assassins to fuck off lol
