Also I feel like it's harder to reach high chaos in 2, I was spotted like 50 or 60 times per mission and killed a bunch but still got low chaos in the end

Yeah, it comes with a fair share of nifty non-lethal mechanics. It also offers the ability to freely check your statistics making it quite easy to keep track of your kill count—or lack there of—as well as the detection rate.
