For all Marksman variants the sweetspot always lasts for 40 meters if one exists.

For rifles that only go up to Infantry, the sweetspot is only 30 meters long but starts at roughly 30 meters. Like the Martini-Henry, the damage drops off after the sweetspot and will only do 50 for distances further than 100-110 meters.

The Carbine variants have the same sweetspot as the variant higher of them for each respective weapon.

The remaining, unique scout weapons without sweetspots are Gewehr 95 and Carcano M91, firing faster than the rest, but having no sweetspot and only a near-linear damage drop-off over distance. Their max damage to body is the usual 90-ish which starts dropping from point blank onward. The Russian 1895 Trench variant is identical to these other unique weapons but is the only exception where one variant has a different damage-distance chart than the rest. The other 1895 variants have a sweetspot unlike the Trench one.

So @fleet gulch's video wasn't impressive for the killing shots because he was at the perfect distance, but it was nice because hitting 3 consecutive shots on center of mass as soon as the sights are leveled again is pretty nice. There is this thing called bullet deviation that fucks your accuracy to all hell if you fire before your weapon is level. That combined with suppression can cause some very random bullet trajectories.
