The Matriarch, yeah. She was a lot worse during her initial release, though. While her plasma cannon is quite a force to be reckoned with these days, it was nothing compared to when she first came out. If you were in the open back then, then it was a guaranteed game over.

I don't quite remember, but it was a while ago now.

Not sure if you've used Firebug against her, though. You take almost no damage when she uses her plasma cannon. You can just stare her down in the open and walk away without a scratch.
