Do that first. It's quite important that you're comfortable switching between the Ballista, rocket launcher, Heavy Cannon and Super Shotgun. The other weapons are not quite as important, but it's good if you can get them into a slightly more comfortable position as you will be using them quite a lot as well, just not to the same extent as the former ones.
