Some years ago when there was lots of variety to types of players, public lobbies were far more interesting than private ones as long as your pc was able to handle a 20+ lobby
For some reason mine could, and back then I used to do car meets with complete randoms and we used to take our prettiest car and bring it in a random parking lot and then we'd just hang out
Or maybe I'd just check out people and it wasn't just "kill on sight" every time I ran into someone.
I learned the bike warping glitch from another random player I met while riding my bike, and then I passed the knowledge on to other people who met me while riding their bike.
And sometimes I even had fair freemode 1v1s on the beach; the rules were no helmets, no bst and hvy sniper only. Mk2 weapons weren't a thing so naturally there was no need to worry about those.
The majority of all the ridiculously op vehicles were not a thing either so it was a lot more old school and peaceful. Back then what was considered tryhard is child's play compared to the modern gtao tryhard.
You could even have some fun in full stunt races and adversary modes but now I feel like the jobs are dead. :sadge:
Even if there was a tryhard ruining some peaceful gatherings we had at least 10 people ready to vote kick them

these seasons really skyrocket the progression for new players
